Biography

George
Breed, Ph.D. is a psychologist, a psychotherapist, and dynamic
presenter of workshops concerning the application of martial,
spiritual, and healing art principles to daily life.
George began intensive training in the martial arts (Isshinryu
Karate) while serving in the United States Marine Corps on
Okinawa in 1959. Upon returning to the states, he taught karate
and jujutsu in Atlanta, Georgia and in Gainesville, Florida.
After receiving his doctorate in psychology from the University
of Florida in 1969, and being taught Ki Principles by Aikido
Sensei Koichi Tohei in 1974, George began teaching workshops
on the application of martial arts principles to daily life.
George has led innumerable seminars and retreats for health
professionals (hospital and outpatient), behavioral health
staff, state government workers, members of Native American
nations (Arizona, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Nebraska),
university faculty and staff, Elderhostel, and state and local
wellness program participants. George’s seminars are
well-received at both national and international conferences.
George is an avid hiker of the mountains and canyons of the
Colorado Plateau. He was born in the Year of the Tiger. |
